We perform jazz with musicians of all ages.

AAJPSP provides opportunities for people of all ages to hear jazz performed live, and offers the Chuck Austin Scholarship to help aspiring jazz musicians pursue their educations.

Building Our future
by Building on Our Past

We tell the story of Black Jazz in Pittsburgh.

AAJPSP reflects the incredibly rich history of African-American jazz musicians who hailed from the Pittsburgh area.

We honor our elders and pursue their dreams.

AAJPSP supports the surviving members of the former Black Musicians Union, Local 471, providing opportunities for them to perform, educate and fellowship.
